One of my favorite things is going on a walk with Rome (my pooch). There’s just something about walking with him that is peaceful, calming, and so rejuvenating. It’s very easy to get caught up in the fast-paced world and walk past so many amazing sites everyday. In fact, I would challenge you to walk to the grocery store sometime or to the Starbucks down the street. Really, just walk somewhere that you would normally drive. When you slow down that much, you begin to look around at all the amazing things that we normally rush past. So today, I screwed in my BlackRapid camera strap, collared up Rome, and headed out on the 3/4 mile lap around my little neighborhood.
Another thing that I love is black and white photography. So today, for your viewing pleasure, all photos will be “saturation challenged”. I’ll also try to keep the text to a minimum so you can simply enjoy the photos (it’s hard to do because there’s a story behind every photo and I usually love sharing that story).

Alright, I had to throw in one shot of my photo-walk partner!

Okay, maybe two. He found a stick. And sticks are exciting. Very exciting.

As I was walking I kept looking down to see this hilarious pair of shadows following us. Rome’s either looks like him or a duck looking up at the sky, depending on how you look at it.

Okay, I thought this post would be all black and white, but for the Money Shot, well I couldn’t help but slip a bit of saturation in there!

Happy Thursday everyone! Tomorrow’s post will be black and white too! It’s a newborn session in Ramona, CA. Such an adorable baby!
