Welcome to dmp bloggin!

I'm a big believer in living life to it's fullest and for the most part, you'll find a smile on my face!  That's the short story about me.  The long story includes a passion for photography, playing my guitar, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, hockey, mountain biking, skydiving and more!

I like good coffee in the morning, and good wine at night.  Cooking combines three of my favorite things, creativity, food, and friends. So you can often times find me in the kitchen making an Italian family recipe.  You're welcome at my house anytime!  Just bring a smile, an appetite, and if you want to score big points, a bottle of red wine!  (Oh, and don't be afraid to have your picture taken.  If you're here, it's bound to happen!)

All of these activities are amazing, but they would not be nearly as fun or possible at all if it weren't for God, my family, and my friends.  These three are the most important to me, and I cannot thank them enough for supporting me on this amazing journey!

GETTIN SHIZ DONE THURSDAY

Ahh, Thursday. Today has been one of those days that things get DONE! It was a crazy morning of productivity, and it’s only 10 a.m.! At 8 a.m. my alarm blared at me to wake up and grab my phone to call into the local radio station Star 94.1. They’re doing this thing called the Purse Party where a bunch of women get to go to a party and pick out crazy expensive purses that could be filled with cash (hence “Purse Party”). Well, Whitney has been dying to get a ticket, so every morning at 8 a.m. I’m up and calling! C’mon, how many points would I score if I won her a ticket? I don’t think it would make up for the surfboard, but it might come close.

So after calling three dozen times and getting nothing but, “I’m sorry, your call cannot be completed at this time” I was up. Not just up, but ready to rock out the day. Made coffee, got dishes done, cleaned the patio, did a load of laundry, washed the patio furniture (yeah, who does that at 8:30 a.m.?), uploaded photos from a cool shoot yesterday, and now I’m blogging. All of this, mind you, before 10 a.m.! So I’m not sure what the rest of this day has in store, but what I do know is that whatever it is, it’s going to get DONE! Today is officially “GETTIN SHIZ DONE THURSDAY”. Because no blog post is truly complete without a photo (after all, this is a photographer’s blog) I thought I would show you what my pooch Rome has been doing all morning. Yup, chillin on the bed wondering why I’m doing so much so early! Have a great Thursday everyone, and get things DONE!!!

July 17, 2009 - 12:35 am Stephen Knuth - You know... Your dog is amazing. Just wanted to point that out. Secondly! That is so cool that you've been getting it done early! I have been waking up earlier lately... Don't all our days feel better when we do that!?
