David Manning Photographers Bloggin bio picture

Welcome to dmp bloggin!

I'm a big believer in living life to it's fullest and for the most part, you'll find a smile on my face!  That's the short story about me.  The long story includes a passion for photography, playing my guitar, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, hockey, mountain biking, skydiving and more!

I like good coffee in the morning, and good wine at night.  Cooking combines three of my favorite things, creativity, food, and friends. So you can often times find me in the kitchen making an Italian family recipe.  You're welcome at my house anytime!  Just bring a smile, an appetite, and if you want to score big points, a bottle of red wine!  (Oh, and don't be afraid to have your picture taken.  If you're here, it's bound to happen!)

All of these activities are amazing, but they would not be nearly as fun or possible at all if it weren't for God, my family, and my friends.  These three are the most important to me, and I cannot thank them enough for supporting me on this amazing journey!

BED JUMPING AWESOMENESS

The Pictage Partner Con this year was so much fun, which is clear by the photobooth pictures a couple of posts back!  Well during the Pictage Pool Party on Tuesday night, six photographers slipped away from the crowd.  They went to the fourth floor where they entered an executive sweet with a king sized bed.  Their intentions?  Jumping.
Last year a tradition was started by Jared Bauman and Bronson Pate in their hotel room.  Bed jumping was born and this year, we decided to continue the tradition.  We had to drag the king sized bed into the middle of the room for enough head room, but we made it work!
The line up goes from left to right:  Jeff Youngren, myself, Jared Bauman, Muir Adams, and Bronson Pate.  That is one good looking lineup!
I have to give tons of credit to Erin Youngren as well!  She’s the rockstar behind the lens of this shot and had to deal with 5 guys.  Also, just a huge shout out to the Youngrens.  I love these two so much!  They’re great photographers and even better people.  If you don’t know who they are, jump over to their site and look around.  They’re awesome!!!  Oh yeah, and that video from Partner Con is done.  It’s a little silly though, so I don’t know if it will make the blog ;)

September 18, 2008 - 1:40 pm Jeff - That was such a hysterical time! I can't believe how many times I landed either on the floor, or rolled backwards on the bed. Good times! Way to rock the lampshade.
