No, don’t go searching for Sara Francy. It’s the Sara France that you all know and love, I just had no idea. So here is my Sara France story:
First, I was at a Mike Colon/Bob Davis seminar called “Master Your Craft” and as I was taking notes, they mentioned a few things that I wrote down to check out later. They talked about a couple of photographers that I had never heard of, Jessica Claire and Sara France, and something called VII Photo.

Well, I must have heard him wrong, because I wrote down Sara Francy! I never really went over my notes from the day and forgot about it. Then, I was at a PUG gathering for Jared Bauman to try out his speech for the WPPI. He wanted to practice and get the timing down. I met a few great photographers that night and again, didn’t think much of it. Then my Pictage packet came in the mail. On the inside cover were pictures of Pictage photographers including David Jay and Sara France. When I looked at the picture of Sara I was like, “She looks really familiar.” At the next PUG meeting Sara was there and we ended up talking for like half an hour about “Strengths Finder 2.0″ and some photography stuff. She was rad enough to have me come shoot a wedding in La Jolla with her and then another in Mission Beach! I had so much fun!
Yesterday, I shot an awesome wedding with Sara in Old Town/La Jolla! We shot from 10am until 8:30pm! A crazy long day with an incredible bride and groom! Anthony and Jessica were so much fun all day and the best part was, she’s a wedding coordinator! Yeah, so the details were insane! I couldn’t believe how many cool little touches there were! Anyway, it was awesome and here are a couple of point-and-shoot snapshots I took right before the ceremony started. Here’s Sara scoping some guests from distance…

And the always rad Sara France with Hubert, my bag buddy!

So long story short, Sara France is RAD and I’m having so much fun second shooting for her! I’m learning a ton, and hopefully one day I’ll be on the inside cover of the Pictage packet with her! Thanks Sara!
