David Manning Photographers Bloggin bio picture

Welcome to dmp bloggin!

I'm a big believer in living life to it's fullest and for the most part, you'll find a smile on my face!  That's the short story about me.  The long story includes a passion for photography, playing my guitar, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, hockey, mountain biking, skydiving and more!

I like good coffee in the morning, and good wine at night.  Cooking combines three of my favorite things, creativity, food, and friends. So you can often times find me in the kitchen making an Italian family recipe.  You're welcome at my house anytime!  Just bring a smile, an appetite, and if you want to score big points, a bottle of red wine!  (Oh, and don't be afraid to have your picture taken.  If you're here, it's bound to happen!)

All of these activities are amazing, but they would not be nearly as fun or possible at all if it weren't for God, my family, and my friends.  These three are the most important to me, and I cannot thank them enough for supporting me on this amazing journey!

CATCH UP TIME

Hey everyone, I’m playing catch up on blogging and throwing out a few events so that I don’t take up a bunch of posts.  First off, my baby went to the surgeon recently… Okay, it was my car and a mechanic not a surgeon.  But still, I was nervous.  You never know when you’re going to take your car in for a few minor things and find out there is a serious problem.  That’s my car below…

Okay, not that one, but maybe one day it will be!  That’s my car below up on the rack at Brecht BMW in Escondido where a really great mechanic works.  My friend Grant also works there, hahaha!  No no, Grant is the really great mechanic that works there!  Actually, he’s a BMW Master Technician… I like the sound of that!  Anyway, I wanted to throw a huge thank you out to Grant because when you own a BMW the greatest thing ever is to have a good friend that can fix them.  And Grant is that awesome friend!

He is also pursuing something after my own heart, his own business.  Check out his website if you’re looking for a car, because this guy knows his stuff!  When you’re looking for a car, who better to ask which one to get than a mechanic that can look it over and tell you the past, present, and probable future of the car?  When I picked up my car, I had Grant look at it first, and I couldn’t be happier!  So go check out the site and give Grant a call!
Okay, on to Easter.  It was soooo good to hang out with my parents in Arizona, but getting there is another story!  Driving to AZ is one of the most painfully boring drives that there is!  This shot is from my lovely drive…
No kidding at all, this is all you see for four of the six hours of driving.  The payoff though was great!  I had such a good time out there hanging out with my mom, golfing with my dad, and helping out my grandma that was sick and is getting better!  Another really good thing about visiting the parentals is the food.  The Easter egg shaped Rice Crispy Treat is one of many shapes my mom molds up for different occasions.  And if you know one of these “cakes” that my mom makes, you know that they go FAST!  I’m not sure what is different about my mom’s, but no one makes a Rice Crispy Treat like her!
I’m sorry that I don’t have more pics right now, but I am a genius that left his point and shoot camera in the back seat of my dad’s truck so I don’t have those pics yet…Ahhh, I’m kicking myself for that one.
And for those of you that went to WPPI, I am so jealous that I didn’t make it this year.  Send me links to your pics so that I can dwell in my jealousy some more!
